I just set up virtual shifting- my sprinting wattage has increased- could that be an issue with the virtual shifting, or is it a result of being able to hold a higher cadence through my gearing?

I have a dedicated trainer bike right now set up 1x with a Rival AXS rear derailleur. If I were to switch to the Zwift cog and set up the chain like a fixey, would there be any issues? On the Zwift Ride I still see a pulley system and with regular bikes I’ve seen that the derailleur has been left on. It would be nice to free up my RD for either another build or to just sell it. May be a question to pose to Zwift’s team, but I appreciate any feedback.

Hi Eric! Maybe you know if cycplus have plans to add virtual gearing to their T2 and T3 trainers? Wrote their support but didn’t get an answer yet..

In reply to Eric Schlange. Thanks Eric - I assume all other functions of Zwift Play will work with the bike? I like the idea of shortcut buttons and also the steering. I’m about to upgrade my smart trainer likely to this bike and thinking of the Zwift Play as an add on.
