Yes. You have to pass the start and finish line for the actual route though.

When I log into the app I see a row of robopacer rides, as shown in the screenshot, that appear to continue off the right of the screen. But there’s no way to scroll over to see what’s there (to the right). Am I misunderstanding something?

Since couple weeks, i’ve to stay really close to robopacer (around 10 meters) otherwise progress bar is rebooted.
Furthermore, whether I change robopacer during a ride, after teleportation, I cannot stay close to him for the usual 10 secondes. I’ve an error message and the group keeps on without me.
It seems Alan Simonsen described the same issue in his comment.

the number of times I dropped off and restarted back to 1.0
I tried changing between bots and routes with no success
very frustrating to say the least
