I feel these competitive intervals are far more motivating and effective than traditional individual or noncompetitive group intervals, as the group dynamic pushes us to dig deeper. Thank you Zwift Insider for putting the series on…it is the training/racing highlight of my week.

Another series I love is the Zwift TT series, which progressively increases duration over the month. This provides an opportunity to focus on different power durations. Being “alone” really puts focus on mental strength but my powers are less than usually achieved in a group.

I’m curious if the concepts of the tiny race and TT race series could be merged. I am thinking a mass start, one-hour group race series with different race durations—such as 12 races under 5 minutes, six races under 10 minutes, three races under 20 minutes, or even a single one-hour race. This could help target a variety of power zones, from sprint to VO2 max, threshold, and beyond, fostering well-rounded performance.

I feel this would be an excellent training/racing tool. What do others think?

I have not. Not sure there’s any way I could figure out to spot those folks.

Because I think my custom category ranges better balance the groups of tiny racers. And I like the idea of using custom ranges, instead of all races using the same ones! Mixes up who you race against.

What is the reasoning for the ZRS changes for the ‘Tiny Races” compared to other events.
My category as an example:

Fresh Outta 24: 180-350
Tiny Races: 260-400

Last week there were ‘E’ riders that topped all categories.

Thank you for the update.

DQ for being too heavy to climb a hill did seem harsh 😆

I just reprocessed Z3 results, which should remove your DQ. Good ol’ ZwiftPower activity ID bug.
